Do I need the 18th Edition Amendment 4 to remain compliant?

 Yes. From October 2026, previous versions of BS 7671 will be withdrawn. Electricians installing, inspecting or testing electrical systems should update to 18th Edition Amendment 4 to remain compliant with current regulations and industry expectations. 

What is the difference between the 1-day and 3-day Amendment 4 course?

 The 1-day course is for electricians and engineers who already actively working in industry and/or hold Amendment 3 and need a quick update. The 3-day course is a full update, suitable for those without Amendment 3 or who want a more in-depth understanding of the 18th Edition Amendment 4 changes. 

Is the 18th Edition Amendment 4 course accredited?

 Yes. This course is EAL accredited, meaning it provides a recognised qualification that confirms your understanding of the latest BS 7671 18th Edition Amendment 4 requirements. 

Can I do the 1-day Amendment 4 course without Amendment 3?

To enrol on the 1-day Amendment 4 course, we strongly recommend you already hold BS 7671 Amendment 3. If you do not, you will suggest you to complete the 3-day course, which includes the required foundational knowledge.
